Vida Nueva Ranch is located on 22 acres in northwestern Washington State. We are about 30 miles south of the Canadian border between Bellingham and Burlington.
On our ranch, we have a pond that attracts many species of critters such as blue heron, bullfrogs, and many kinds of ducks and geese. We also have the occasional coyote, hawks, and bald eagles checking out what kind of meal they might find. Hopefully, that meal will not be any of our ducks or chickens! The wild deer find sanctuary in our fenced yard and enjoy the fruit from our apple and plum trees.
We have two llamas, Big Shot and Jojo, who are companion animals used for packing on day trips and for their beautiful fiber that we use to felt, spin, and make into useful items. The wild birds also find it great for lining their nests in the birdhouses that we provide for them.
In addition, we have five white-faced Herefords. They are, as the Washington State lotto commercial says, "Officially pets"! They keep the pastures looking nice so we don't have to do much mowing.
We hope you enjoy our web site, which we are continually updating.
A new website is being created for you to follow what is going on here with me. Click on the link below to go to my new website. The website will contain all of the information of the Bataan, it’s activities, my input, and the photographs that you will be able to view of everything. Currently the website is under construction due to the volume of information and photographs that must be transferred over. I would appreciate any feedback you have on the website and it would be appreciated if you would view it from time to time to see what is going on. The website, I am sure, has taken a decent amount of time and work on my grandparents’ behalf, in correlation with my parents and me giving him input and information for the page. Thank you for your time and I wish you all the best; you are all in my thoughts.
Very Respectfully,
